President Draupadi Murmu will today give a special gift to the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi, making it easier for them to visit now.

President Draupadi Murmu reached Srinagar and on Thursday, during the final leg of her two-day pilgrimage, she will visit the temple and inaugurate the rebuilt Parvati Bhavan and the Skywalk. Work on the Skywalk started in August last year. This structure will help segregate the lines of pilgrims entering and exiting the shrine area.

A top police officer in the Jammu region conducted a security review of the Vaishno Devi temple in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. An official provided this information. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Range, Anand Jain, reviewed the security arrangements a day ahead of President Draupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to the historic temple.

A police spokesperson stated that IGP Jammu held several important meetings to review the arrangements for VVIP visits and the preparations for the upcoming Navratri festival. During these meetings, Jain emphasized the need for extra caution in light of the pilgrimage and urged all officials and personnel to prioritize security measures while keeping the upcoming Navratri festival in mind.
