Today The Youth Services and Sports Department Jammu organised a Cricket match for deaf and dumb students at GGHSS Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. This initiative was taken by the District Officer Sh. Sukhdev Raj Sharma to encourage these special children.
The program was started with a welcome note by the Principal GGHSS Bakshi Nagar is presence of the chief guest Sh. Suneet Raina, Co orporator W. No-09, ZPEO Jammu Smt. Harvinder Kour, ZEO Jammu Smt. Sushila Devi, Principal School for Hearing Handicapped Sh. Roshan Bhan, Lecturer, all filled staff of Jammu zone and two teams of deaf and dumb students.
Smt. Harvinder Kour presented bouquets to the esteemed guests. Thereafter toss was done by the Chief guest. Young Stars team won the toss and choose bating.
At last prize distribution function was organised where medals and trophies were presented to the winning team and runner up team. A Sports Kit was presented to the Principal of School for Hearing Handicapped by the Department of Youth Services And Sports Jammu.
A vote of thanks was presented by Smt. Harvinder Kour, ZPEO Jammu, where she thanked all the dignitaries for participation in such a noble cause. She also extended her thanks to the Principal GGHSS Bakshi Nagar for always helping the department by providing the venue for events.
