The festival of Akshaya Tritiya is being celebrated today. Akshaya Tritiya is also called ‘Akha Teej’. On this day both the Sun and the Moon are situated in high zodiac signs.
It is being celebrated today i.e. 22nd April. According to the mythological texts, the auspicious and religious works done on this day give lasting results.
On this day, both Sun and Moon are in their exalted sign Taurus, so the combined blessings of both of them become inexhaustible.
It is believed that Parshuram, Nar-Narayan, Hayagriva were incarnated on this day. From this day the doors of Badrinath also open and on this day Lord in Vrindavan Banke Bihari’s feet are visible.
