The Indian Army has killed 2 terrorists near the border-fence in Kupwara and recovered a huge amount of arms and ammunition and drugs from them. The incident is from the Keran sector of Kupwara district of North Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police has said that both were killed during the cross firing incident.
Confirming the incident, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that both the persons killed were locals and had come to the area to collect consignments of arms and medicines and may also be trying to help in infiltration. The deceased have been identified as local residents Majid Chechi and Samsudin Begh. The army has said that on June 28, around midnight, some people were seen doing suspicious activity near the fence in the India Gate-Bitchoo area in Keran sector.
