3,714 new cases, 7 fresh COVID deaths reported in India

India registered 3,714 new cases in the last 24 hours, 17.8% lower than yesterday. It brought the total caseload to 4,31,85,049. As many as seven people lost their lives due to the coronavirus in the country in the same duration, increasing the total reported death count to 5,24,708.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, the top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 1,383 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 1,036 cases, Delhi with 247 cases, Karnataka with 230 cases and Haryana with 165 cases.

In total, 82.41% of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 37.24% of the new cases.

A total of 2,513 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 4,26,33,365 across the country. India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.72%.

Currently, the active caseload stands at 26,976. In the last 24 hours, active cases have increased by 1,194.

India has administered a total of 13,96,169 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,94,27,16,543.
